Hey Kyle!

Thanks for the tips and tricks. I don't have Lightroom just yet and when 'straightening' the perspective I get the impression the higher parts of the buildings are 'stretched'
Thanx I'll try that, might look a bit more solid if the picture is compiled from more shots.

Are you on a holiday in Canada?

Daniela

Heh, what to say: FANTASTIC! Love the concept and the colours - evoke the feeling of a slightly dirty city, yet the lines on the picture are so neat and orderly.
How did you get them so straight? Any hints on how not to make architecture 'fall backwards'??

cheers mate

Thanks!!! yeah I went a lil green on the sepia with a lil vignetting added and a bit of fill light to give the blacks some texture. Actually if you have photoshop look under lens distortion under filters, and you need to check for perspective correction, you'll be able to pull back those lines so they show as straight. The best way to shoot these is to get as high up as possible and shoot as straight as possible but many times it's nearly impossible to shoot the building direct and halfway up . Just remember not to shoot too low and aim high, cuz there is only so much you can correct. But lil tip for you, get lightroom 3 and obtain a serial of sorts, put it in and enjoy the corrective...ness . I HIGHLY recommend LR3, the noise reduction is "off the hook!" I mean I can shoot at higher iso's and reduce the noise with very little loss in detail.

Aloha from Canada EH! ^_^. Names Kyle, nice to meet ya!.

Nice one!
A little bit like the pictures I take with my Hasselblad - Squares got their own, pecial charme!

Thanks man , yeah that's what I love about the square format, you can crop either way actually. Tough part is to frame it in the square format and submit it square, very limited yet very challenging .

I found it quite easy to adapt to when I got my Hasselblad - If you shoot square in the first place it's easier than to crop it afterwards.
