No, they're fighting because Spider-Man found out he was the clone and he's freaking out over his entire life being a lie, so he's lashing out at Scarlet in hopes of killing him so it won't matter which one of them is the real Peter Parker since he'll be the only one left. At least, that's the comics-accurate explanation, before Pete got some sense knocked into him and it was later revealed that Norman Osborn was messing with them both in some kind of elaborate revenge scheme.

I love what you have done , one of the best I have seen, no offence Im a huge fan of both Spider-Man and the Scarlet Spider but it looks to me like the original webhead is winning.
