got finally the green light to post my work on promotion material for last Eidos MMO: Age of conan...All model and elements are from Blur Studio( i didnt made the character), i just re-used their material to create this pict.. I basically posed , lighted , touched up materials and composed the whole thing and had fun doing it ( great character rigging/skinning)
i tried to add more Frazetta flavor into this one

This is the same character you see in the trailer. You know, the 1 where he kills three of Thoth'Amon's soldiers(guys with glowy blue eyes and shiny golden armour),anyways he takes the kopesh from the soldier and he beheads him

heard good things about the game... rated R isn't it?
what's a poly count on this model? some areas feel normal mapped... was the "hair" part one of the things you did in photoshop?

game is cool, totally cool...
for someone like me who likes old fashion fantasy, it's the game i always wanted to play
polycount was around 300k polys, bumpmaps, no normalmaps... hair is all 3dsmax made.. trick is to turn the hair rendered into real polys ( with good settings it doesnt go THAT crazy on polys)

I am a fan of fantasy tooβ¦ read a lot, but when it comes to games, I do not favor things that have been movies before becoming games. they just donβt feel original anymore. I didnβt like any of the StarWars or LOTR games. Didnβt even play themβ¦

However I have a comment on the sword at his right hand.
I think it is hard to use and is not a good sword, because it looks unbalanced. Better may be its center of gravity should be on the direct line of handhold. I am not sure.
