Ahh, here is your icon. This metallic being also seems to have something of a metallic skin. Well, partially metallic & partially organic skin. Very sensational work. Very curious on your "beings" character stories. You could make a phenomenal series of novels and, possibly, movies with your creations. Would love to see that such could/will be established. No pressure. Just constructive encouragement.

you have hit the proverbial nail squarely on its head. Very reminiscent of Druillet.

Brilliant! And your work would have stood right next to the best of Moebius, Corben, and Liberatore! (Just couldn't get into Druillet as much as I wanted to). Your style, technique, and imagination are full-throttle!

Fantastic voer. I'm a fan of the classic HM magazine since i was a teen back in 99 when i was 18 when i bought issues and classic issues.
Did you know many filmmakers like Ridley Scott, James Cameron, Luc Besson and more are fans of this magazine? this magazine influenced many movies over the years like Blade Runner, Avatar and Fifth Element

Thats a great image it kind of reminds me of Liberatore(sp)'s Rank Xerox character from Heavy Metal (from the 80s). Very nice design and colour!

My friends and I are having an argument. I'm saying the man was modeled in ither MAX or ZBrush and the beam as well. They say you photoshopped the beam in. Which is it? They also doubt the model is 3D.
BTW, This is amazing work here.

sorry for the ultra late reply!
the guy was first done in max and pushed a bit in zbrush, and the beam was done in max too ( to get the proper angle and perspectives) but tiny effects are done in photoshop
you win

Looks like the cover to Scorpion's Blackout...but you know - completely different.
Not only an amazing deviation but you get a special prize for mentioning Moebius & Bisley in one paragraph.
