Description
AboveOne thing I love about the midwest is the sheer size of the sky.
Every time I’ve been there, I feel I’m going to drown in that sky if I stare too long at it. It’s truly amazing. I don’t really miss it here because it’s one of those things that makes me want to go back and visit Kansas City for instance.
Here, in LA,we have different things, and it’s nice to have different points of views and experience to understand the value of each. At least, for me it works like that.

I've thought the following a lot of times but this picture is the final straw:
Get a freaking 2 square meter canvas and make a real painting in oil or acrylics! PLEASE!

The first moment I saw this picture I thought Kent's Smallville! When I read description, I had to recheck whether Smallvilles was in Kensus and it is. This makes me feel like old time. Thank you for this beautiful piece!

This feels a tad like Edward Hopper...not as depressing though, thankfully.

You literally stole the words from my mind. That is exactly why I wish I could just loose myself back home in Nebraska. But the film industry isn't out there. So I'm stuck in LA. lol :/ Beautiful representation of the midwest though! I knew it before I read your description! c:

The clouds are what I love about the Great Plains sky, and what I remember best of Kansas and eastern Colorado.

It's like that in the desert of the Southwest, too, and the sky is the clearest color of turquoise juxtaposed with the red rock! Now I'm feeling really nostalgic for Arizona.
