Magnifique... This one lays close to my heart. I'm slowly going through your gallery, yet I couldn't resist commenting here. I very much love the rain and this reminds me of many-a-days. The little details here are astonishingly realistic and telling. The warmth and light of the inside, contrasted with the wet and dark of outside; a cup of tea or coffee; putting the shadow of the rail on the grass; ... and a very content woman enjoying it all.

Magnifique celle là ! J'ai vu qu'un art book (édité par cfsl je crois) venait de sortir, et en le feuilletant j'ai été vraiment séduit, outre par la gestion parfaite des lumières et couleurs , par les sujets des images, enfin j'aime énormément ce que vous faites quoi, et ça fait vraiment plaisir d'être gâté régulièrement par ici !!

i love watching the rain.

there's something about the power of rain, and rejuvenation, the power in that. i love watching rain. my bed is at top of the house, so i can hear the rain fall on the gutters, making a drip drop drop drip dropping sound. i love that sound. it's home, it's safe, it's warm, it's... magic...again.

there's just something about rain. it's romance, it's magic, it's innocence, it's spiritual, it's symbolic, it's beautiful... it's everything. i love it.

thank you for capturing it. because that position, is what i take on our front porch whenever it rains. unfortunately, having long blonde hair, rain tends to mess it up, although, i think i like the chaos of it.

a friend of mine, when we were in disney world, everyone was hiding from the showers... we went with another friend, she was hiding from the rain... i took my friend (a wonderful man, very gay and wonderful), by the hand, and we danced in the rain to the clapping of all the tourists. we were soaked afterwards, but it was so worth it. in that moment... the magic of disney felt so real and tangible. that's honestly my favorite place to go. it's silly, but it always makes me feel like a kid, and i'm no longer close with my wonderful friend (he ended up being very controlling, and to get his family off his back, was very insistent we get married.) we went as cinderella and prince charming in our senior parade (the seniors in high school, take the lower school kids around in a parade around the school... people thought the two of us were professionals, it was adorable.)

anyway, i will always have that memory of dancing with my prince charming, in the rain.

there are some memories you hold on fast to, that's one i won't let destroyed by who he turned into. it was magical, and perfect. and to me, that's how i remember him: my prince charming, dancing with me in the rain, with everyone taking pictures and jealous of the two crazy people dancing in the rain.

thank you for reminding me of that. that'll go into the book as well, you are definitely going to get a partial dedication (my mom and dad have to go first

I love it when I can smell or hear something in your work. The lovely damp, the splatter of drops, the low rumble in the distance--even the occasional odd ping where a heavy drop hits the awning rails. All of it adds to the warm cocoon created by the light inside. I love this one.

The warmth in this just radiates right off the computer screen for me <3 I LOVE IT!
Wish this was possible in Texas, but usually when it rains, there is also an equal amount of mosquito around too. And my blood is too sweet to resist. ;b
