Presque toutes les planches de cette sΓ©rie ont vraiment fait Γ©cho avec des conversations que j'avais avec d'autres artistes. C'est une bouffΓ©e d'optimisme Γ chaque fois!

You're welcome. Hope it all goes well.
Your style is so lovely and the themes so down to earth. I'm sure it'll do well.

Sure, it's a great idea. Only it's not very new so be careful. I remember one blue bear making a similar guide for cartoonists. The name itself would make many people ask a question as it sounds familiar. Then again, as an artist I prefer to not bother with maybe-existing variants of my new ideas so I just avoid getting any impression from those artists with similar mind set. I don't know if it's a good approach, but it protects me from worrying too much. It's one of those cases when knowing more makes you less productive. Such a paradox of originality.
Other than that, it sounds like much fun for both of us. Go ahead with no fear.

Right.. I know it's not new, nothing really is/
That said.. who is Blue Bear?
Are you blue bear? Did you do a comic like that?

As you can see, many people hate him for terrible attitude and behavior. But his "so you're a cartoonist" comic is actually pretty inspiring. You could find some good ideas there. Later he picked a blue gummy-bear mascot and this character of his speaks for him and is extremely toxic and cynical. I try not to dig another man's dirty laundry so I have no idea if he's really that awful.
As for me, I never made any comic with the same idea. And I feel free watching you because we don't cross many ideas. You work in color, with tablet, you're godlike with lighting and you're in general far more superior as an artist. You're actually my only watch on DA. I could probably find more people with safe art but... I'm afraid of looking. Net is full of dirt. Browsing is a danger to my sanity, literally. (yes, even with Safe Search on)
Your art is enough for me. It inspires me greatly without negatively affecting my productivity. So... thank you. And surely "so you want to be an artist" by you is something I'd enjoy. ^__^

You know, I am NOT going to look at that because I don't want it to influence me. That said, the title for the book is different. I started the sketches as" So you want to be an Artist" but I would redo them for a book.
Thank you so much for pointing this out though!
I really appreciate it.

There's a huge difference between PascalCampion and "the blue bear" though. Mainly that one of them is a great artist who gives great advice and the other is a piece of shit who blocks everybody and is regressing in art, for startes
I also thought about his shitty webcomic when I read the name of this one, but then again, Blue-bear-guy hasn't made any comics in that name for very long and when he does nobody knows because he's trash at making himself known (unless it's something negative). With luck this book will be made and more widely known than the other, especially since (as I said) this guy knows his stuff, has fans who'd love to buy and read it and recommend it to more people. Blue-bear doesn't own the name of the comic.

hmm.. I'm sensing a bit of hostility here, no?
I think that if there is a comic out there with the same name, it might be wise for me to change the name of mine.
I really do appreciate the nice words about my work though. Thank you.

It's not the exact same name though, so you could name your book that without doing anything wrong. Then again it's your choice
The webcomic we're talking about isΒ www.syacartoonist.com/

I think there is potential to this idea, but there already seemed to be a lot of repetition in the sample stories you've shared so far, which makes me wonder if there's enough content to maintain interest for a full 100 or 120 pages, especially from the perspective of such a young(?) target audience. I would recommend going for a shorter children's book type of thing with this project.

I hear you.. I'm rewriting the whole thing to just make it one story!
good point though.
We did think about making it a series of children's books too at one point
