My parents divorced when I was very young. I remember talking to my dad on the phone every Sunday night. Most of the time it was fine, but sometimes I just missed him terribly. Nothing that my mom could do about it.
Now my dad is passed away and I’m a grown up.. but I still miss that call on Sundays.

As I'm looking at this I'm in the middle of my Sunday Night call with my mom. Not quite the same context, I'm in college and we call every Sunday. I worry about her a lot and when I call her I'm reminded with how stressed she is. She cares a lot and takes care of so many people but no one seems to be taking care of her.
Plus I miss her.

I like how your painting is simple but full of details at the same time,
i cant but notice how you didnt forget about the phone plug or how you added this thing that you hang on the heating system ( i dont know the word in english) to produce steam.
i mean you can get away without them and the painting will still be touching and lovely ....but you added them .......which make your painting unique and mmmmm lets say familiar or like ' home sweet home' to your audience
i hope i explained my point clearly

Thank you so much. Ha.. yes( are you French?).. we had those all the time and when it was winter, I would sit with my back against the radiator and read comics.. for three minutes because it would then become too hot for me.. but I would do it all the time..and tend to fall asleep a little.

So true we had them too .....nothing better than reading in winter next to the radiator and then your eyes can't resist anymore so you'll convince yourself that you'll just close them for a few minutes and then ......you go into deep sleep for an HOUR....
that happened a lot to me when I was a kid specially when I was studying hahaha .

Reminds me of the awkward moment after my parents devorce, like habitually kiss or 'honey' would slip out, even though I was 6 I knew nothing would come of it at that point .

Don't know how having your folks divorced must feel like for a kid, really sorry about this experience of yours. I know instead how it feels to have your dad die when you're 9 years old, and that's pretty fucked up as well. It's pretty rough having to grow up with only a parent either way.
