The strength in the model's arms and the firm, curvaceous stance gives it that latina or spanish connection. It's very tango meets modern girl. I love the use of the drapes as the background that - while they are neither too sheer or opaque - let a little of the world beyond the window through. She seems very involved in the joy of the time or of what she's doing, you smile a little when you see it. The angle supports that feeling of movement and strength, as if the camera is simply watching a moment just as we are. The one thing that I think gives this image so much power is the use of silhouette and natural lighting. Her figure is very clear cut, simple and dark in front of the stark white drapery. The one thing that I would change is the chair back on the right, and maybe the stripes on the window sill - but I'm something of a perfectionist even when I can't be bothered doing it myself. This is a beautiful portraiture piece, full of movement and joy and a fabulous feminine power.

awesome...that kind of an angle would normally seem so forced, but it comes out very natural looking with her pose. I like it a lot
