It was early morning at Tidmouth Thomas was waking up getting ready for some early morning shunting when he heard arguing this time it wasn’t from the big engines instead it was from two other tanks engine that were allocated to the Tidmouth to help him

Both of them were relics of the W&S Thomas couldn’t understand why they hated each other but he knew it had something to do with the merger the railways on the west of sodor had before the north western railway was formed

He asked Edward who was a former W&S engine

Edward told Thomas that he’ll tell him when Thomas was a little bit older as the story of the downfall of the W&S wasn’t nice to talk about
