Free to use with creditThe Hills Works was a workshop located on the GNR that built engines of many kinds and also rebuilt engines as well
They would later sell off these engines to which ever railway needed them
The first design was a 4-4-0 that had a components of Caledonian and Great Western engines
This class wasn’t the best runner and could only go 45 mph but it was just good enough to get by
which was why only 8 were ever built
