Okay... so kinda spoiler-ific, yet not, but Gabriella does eventually become a super villain and joins along side her man.

For awhile I was debating what Ellie's stance would be after the events of the Joker film. Would she stay with Arthur/Joker and be okay with what he has done, or would she leave? And the answer is... the former. Ellie was more shocked by what he's done, but she can't truly condemn him for what he's done. Ellie may have been in questioning for a short while, but without giving away too much, a LOT of shit happens at once (as well as previous trauma that was unhealed) to where Ellie just finally snaps and is like, "Fuck society, it's us against the world, Babe!"

I was a little hesitant on going this route, since I didn't want it to come across like Harley Quinn or as if she's just Harley Quinn's replacement or something, so I tried to do my best to set her apart from Harley, starting with the fact that Ellie's motives for becoming a villain isn't because was indoctrinated by the Joker or just in love with him. And I think the theme for her costume also was a good way to start.

Because ballet was such big part of Ellie's life, before the accident, it made sense to me to make her villain motif a ballerina, once she has properly healed and gets back into the groove of dancing.

Also, it's unsure if whether or not there will be a sequel to the 'Joker' (And I'll be honest, I kinda hope there won't be, since I don't feel it's necessary), so things are subject to change.

I will also being doing a version of Gabriella/Pirouette that will be more inclusive to the more 'extended' Batman universe, eventually, not just the "Joker" universe.

Inspirations for Pirouette is Calendar Girl (Obscure Batman villains FTW), Dominika Egorova and a little bit of John Wick.
