Blimey.  I still remember this sweet little girl.  Her cuteness is on par with Madeline, and her backstory is just as sad.  Both girls lost their parents at young ages.

Thy childhood is brought back from the shelf thy stored it upon at first glace upon this well drawn picture. Your style is perfect and your position itself grand. I can almost see it now in my head the young lass looking out at the lonely bayou hoping for the day her savors would come.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE SO MUCH! And the little girl. She was so adorable, and I felt sorry for her. ;_;

I remember reading about how the artists designing Penny studied the actions of girls much like her, with the knee-hugging and such, to get a glimpse into realism that hadn't really been explored in Disney before.

The softness of the piece really conveys that longing dreamer feeling - it's beautifully done.

I was a bigger fan of The Rescuers Down Under, but I think it's only because I saw that one first and more often
