i know, she's of a fictional race. i wanted lana to share the same skintone with cia (whom she is the literal split of). to explain, hyrule warriors did the infamous dark is evil trope (a really racist trope btw) in which they give a character darker skin. in this case, they gave cia (when corrupted) darker skin and lana (her good half) lighter skin.

as a non-black person of color myself, that made me really uncomfortable in general since it fed into a really racist trope, especially with the reveal of cia before ganondorf permanently took the light out of her, hence lana's existence. so i figured why not utilize artistic liberty in my works and give lana the same skin tone as cia.

heck, even if someone did draw her (and cia) with black features and or headcanon them as black hylians (or black in really modern zelda AUs which take place in the real world), there's no harm being done.

no it's not. tbh to me dark pit and cia wouldn't get along romantically at all, even with post legends redeemed cia due to being weary (even if ganon manipulated her, that doesn't excuse her actions at all). then again there is the power of au
