Weapon: Audacity - A large, sharpened anchor (don't ask about the one in his right hand, I don't know why it generated that.)

Semblance: Alpha Predator - When in contact with water, Zaff's strength increases exponentially.

Zaff used to work at his parents' fishery before attending the huntsman academies in the Kingdom of Vacuo. After defeating an aquatic Grimm using nothing more than an old anchor, Zaff's parents saw it fit to send him off to combat school. Naturally, he took the anchor, sharpened it, and named it. While he knew people were mocking him behind his back for his choice of weapon, he didn't much care. After someone made a show of things, however, those were quickly shut down after he defeated one of his detractors in a duel. Though he thinks he only won because they had a preference for Water Dust, thus triggering his semblance, it didn't stop Sylva from becoming interested in pursuing a relationship with him, much to her brother's chagrin and Sangria's jealousy. Because of his naturally kind heart, he, with help from Sangria, was able to help Sylva through her turmoil, bringing the two of them even closer together. Though, he does worry about Sangria trying to force herself to be in a relationship with someone just to "keep up" with her two teammates.
