It was around time I put this on my deviant art. I've already posted like six pages on the amino app.
I made this for a number of reasons. First off, I know I'm already working on other comic series, but I really wanted to test out this new art style.(I can never stick to one 😂) Second, I've seen so many comics or fanfictions depicting Marinette as a victim when Adrien rejects her, whether it was their creators intention or not, it victimizes her and makes her seem weak. Something I hate greatly, because Marinette isn't weak, each episode she manages to handle both her problems in her civilian life and superhero life. And sure, sometimes she handles things in not the best way, but this shows character, versus Adrien who has like zero flaws other than getting jealous in the Copycat episode, they don't develop him as much as I'd like. Back to the main point, I wanted to show Marinette moving on her own, without the help of Chat Noir or Alya. Thirdly, I wanted to draw her in a haircut 😍.
