I think they are the same thing. It is sweet, juicy and pulpy inside, and is a tropical fruit.

hehehe i went searching the name rose apple in goole XD its indeed what we call Suriname kashu on our island XD, we have a tree of it in our big yard.
i just didn't know that it was called like that in English.

hahahahaha XD wouldnt you know same thing different name, we have all kinds of fruit trees back at home on the island, i myself live in Holland now and I'm going back this xmas on vacation woohoooo .. the island is called Curacao dont know if u know it.

I must confess that I am not very familiar with the geography of the Caribbean islands. In fact, I have to google "Netherlands Antilles" to find out where it is.

It's a tropical fruit commonly found in South-east Asia, also known as jambo.
