oh man the stare at the end, and what is this, the 90s, kids don't play outside anymore XD. I enjoy intros like this a lot where it's vague but lets the art do a lot of the talking without exposition or any of that, ease you in

Yep, looks' like the 90's to me! When kids actually played outside, died of Dysentry in Oregon Trail, were considered cool with glow-in-the-dark velcro kicks and ate Flintstones vitamins

haha, you know what I just realized? You need to beat Misty before you're able to use cut outside of battle. I can just see these Kanto parents forcing their kids to get the second badge so the can do some damn yard work for a change! (I may or may not have channeled my father in that last sentence)
And hellz yeah wild Pokemon would be a threat! I've always been surprised by how few pokemon comics address that issue. I mean, they're pocket monsters, after all. What's wrong with making them monstrous?

Well the Pokemon Adventure manga didn't do a bad job at it, you've got some pretty intense scenes in there (*wink wink* the infamous lavender town scene *wink wink*)
But yeah, at some point you might as well call them ''Pocket Pets'' instead if you're not going to show the badass and dangers of those monsters! It's nice to see someone agreeing with me on that point ^^
