Paw Tutorial

Step 1: Draw your leg in whatever pose you feel like. From these lines, we'll draw four rounded triangles. The outside triangles should be a bit smaller than the two in the middle.

Step 2: Now we add detail to the triangles. On the top "point", we'll draw a knuckle, and from there a sloping line down to the pad of the toe.

Step 3: Adding more detail. Here you can add the claws, if you want. Keep in mind when drawing claws that they all point to one central area. It's most apparent with the two middle claws; they always face inward toward each other. You can also add the paw detail here. Canine paws tend to have large pads which stick out from under the fur.

Step 4: Now we add a few smaller details, such as fur or more bone/knuckle detail. And how we're done!

Hand Tutorial

Step 1: For starters, we'll draw a trapezoid kind of shape.

Step 2: From this trapezoid, we'll draw rectangles of varying shapes. The thumb should be another trapezoid shape branching from the side, and the fingers should be rectangles of different sizes; keep in mind the longest finger is the middle, and the pinkie is the smallest.

Step 3: From the first set of rectangles, we add more rectangles, again in different sizes. This is the second half of the fingers; again keep in mind the general size of the fingers in comparison to the ones around them.

Step 4: Now we add details and draw the shape of the fingers, using the rectangles as a guide. All done!
