vision: this is awesome! i love the waterfall, you think of waves based on the beach sand, but instead you get this surreal looking scene with a waterfall. the use of color is great here, although the orange cloud bank on the left kind of detracts, being that the other clouds are blue. the orange is only in that one section, and looks out of place.
originality: no unicorn running through flower field? congrats, the originality is there! again, that waterfall is just amazing. it's such a sad looking scene at first with all the rain and gloomy color, but then you have this unicorn standing there with bright colors near the horn. the horse itself looks serene.
technique: i think this piece is done very well aesthetically. the rain is good, it actually hits the horse instead of an overlay over the image, however it'd also need to hit the water surface and create little splashes. kudos on those wonderful flyaways in the hair.
impact: the image hits you with this fantastical feeling, the soft muted colors setting off the bright light on the right. i think you executed a dramatic scene well using color that isn't in your face. the lens flare guides your eyes to the horse.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE pieces like this, with the superb, slightly blinding light and crisp feel to the image. The horn colors are stunning.

This is beautiful. The rain and the color scheme is wonderful. But I'm going to go a little fan girl on you.
When I clicked to listen to the song, I was instantly overwhelmed by emotions because I am utterly addicted to the movie Thor and Tom Hiddleston's role as Loki. So I went from seeing a horse in the rain with a rainbow to something completely different and deeply dynamic.
I don't know if I am interpreting your artwork correctly but I realized that this unicorn is flooded with emotion - literally and metaphorically as he/she appears to be crying and the rain and water all around is bearing down on them. Yet they still hold a thread of hope that things will get better, that they still have something to look forward to in life, that perhaps love is out their looking for them. So, even though they face the darkness, the light is still beside them. ;~;

And I guess If you listen to the song, you can honestly understand the manipulation better, it makes you stop and think for a little, and once you understand it-whatever your interpretation may be- you can stop and think even more, and relate it to your life in ways.
And yes, your interpretation was correct.
I was going for just, something that made you wait, and think. hence the title wait. This manipulation is very personal to me, and I put a piece of me in every piece of my artwork, but I'm really so happy that you thought about the manipulation.
