Seriously I'm not...I dunno. I got bored and did this last night.
Yes, Pikachu is colored the same way it's original sprite was back in Red and Blue. I prefer Pikachu that way to be honest. I think it's cuter. Pikachu and Eevee are also purposely not shaded since they looked better flat colored.

It's a really nice idea and I always like to see your drawn version of you. The background duplicates of the picture iff me but that's a pet peeve of mine. It kinda distracts from the main drawing.
