ALIGNMENT: CHAOTIC GOOD
A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society.

Nightfrost thinks of himself very highly, in a very confident kind of way, but most often it comes across as cocky and vain. He thinks he is great and hopes everyone else does too.

He seems very in-control of his life, and has a very leaderlike attitude to him.
Nightfrost isn't the sharpest claw, and sometimes things go over his head. While he is rather intelligent and clever, he doesn't quite grasp a lot of the body language or subtle signs that his Clanmates would give out.

It was the break of dawn, and pale white light was washing over the landscape, turning everything pale, and making what little snow that lied on the clay ground dance with a shimmer. It made everything look different, and angelic like. Walking out of the apprentice den a small tabby she cat looked around quickly with her green eyes. "Everyone is asleep...good." She thought then made her way to the camp's entrance with haste and climbing the walls so that she could train on her own. When ever her mentor was around she panicked and messed up when she tried to hunt, always failing and making a fool of herself. Yet when she was on her own, everything went rather well. Getting lost in her thought she kept walking until the scent of MoonClan's border hit her. Jumping back quickly she looked around, her hair standing on end, and making her look like a puff ball once again. Taking a deep breath she calm down. "I'm so pathetic! Just the smell of their border makes me jump, how can I even call myself a FireClanner!" She thought to herself with a sigh, quickly grooming her fur so she didn't look like a yellow ball of moss with legs.

Nightcatcher padded sleepily through the brightening territory. It was his unfortunate turn to be picked for the Dawn Patrol, and while Birchcloud and Runningbreeze decided to hunt, he went on ahead to finish the patrol so he could get back to his nest.
He was near the FireClan border when he spotted her. A young apprentice, a tabby he didn't recognize, on MoonClan's side of the border, grooming herself. As he padded closer he could smell that she was from FireClan.
"Hey," he mewed somewhat lazily, "What are you doing in MoonClan territory?"

Settingpaw jumped backing up in fear and almost falling over her own paws shaking. The dark tom's gaze was scary, and was on her. Her body was stiff, though he seemed to not care. she did. She was scared of the thought he wasn't alone, or if he would attack her, she didn't know how to fight. She had tried but she couldn't bring herself to do it to someone, to hurt them. Like she had been hurt. "I-I'm s-s-sorry.... I-I got l-lost..." She said in a soft voice, her body shaking. Her ears were pinned back and her tail between her legs, though her eyes were wide with fear of the unknown.

"Hey, no worries," the laid-back tom replied. "It happens to the best of us. Do you need help finding your way back?" The MoonClanner looked the small apprentice up and down, she seemed too young to be out here by herself. "Did you lose your mentor?" he wondered.

Her eyes went wide when he offered to help her find her way back. She nodded her head quickly. "T-that w-would b-be am-amazing." She said, her voice hushed, but gratefulness easily flooded over it. She didn't want to force him though, but the forest was dark, and scary. As if beast were crawling in every shadow and tree waiting to strike. It made her shiver on the inside with fear. Though she looked at her paws when he brought up her mentor. She shook her head 'no' sighing a small bit. "H-he's been..um..ill..." She said shrinking in on herself a bit. "I-I'm not g-good at anything...I-I can't work i-in front of..others...I-I get to n-nervous, a-and mess up. A-and I-I don't want to..um h-hurt any-anyone." She said shaking a little at the thought of bring pain to another, it seemed so wrong, and she didn't want anyone to be in pain. "Why can't we all just get along...life would be so much easier." She thought to herself, sighing inwardly.

Nightcatcher nodded, thinking to himself how much this FireClanner reminded him of Berryrose when she first entered the Clan, so small and timid. He quieted her with a soothing voice, "hey, it's gonna be okay. Don't worry, alright? Everyone makes mistakes." He flicked his crooked tail, hoping to lighten the mood. "See my tail? That was one of the biggest mistakes I made, but see, I'm fine, and everything turned out okay in the end."
He wondered who her mentor was, and if he was so ill, why didn't Kindlestar give her a new one? Perhaps FireClan was dealing with a sudden illness in their camp...or worse...

She let her green gaze sweep over him to his tail that was bent at a painful looking angle. She wanting to cringe at the look of it, and the thought of that pain that it must have been. It tugged on the strings of her heart. Her emerald gaze softened on it. She could tell what he was trying to do. But it only made her feel bad, he had no idea how her life seemed to go. She couldn't blame him for that though, it wasn't like she really knew the tom after all. She bit softly down on her lip, not sure what to say. Her heart was pounding in her ears, and her chest felt like it was being crushed by rock. She wanted to cry. She wanted to run away form everything, be the coward her father yelled at as a kit. Filling her mind with toxic thoughts that haunted her every thought to no prevail of her escaping them. They only seemed to become worse and worse. "Y-y-you w-would um..u-understand um..." She said sniffling a little trying to hold back the urge that was like a beast in a cage wanting to be let free. But she was already seeming weak, she was a joke of a cat. She was weak, she didn't know why she tried to hold back the urge to cry. "It's no use to cry, no one understands. No one can comfort you. I'm just useless!" She thought to herself.

"Shhh," Nightcatcher said soothingly, trying to comfort her. "Hey, hey. You're okay, yeah? Don't worry. I can take you home, and I won't tell anyone what happened, okay? You're gonna be fine." He made a step towards her, just a small one, and waited to gauge her reaction and see if it was okay if he approached more.
His amber and blue eyes met with her green ones and he gave a small smile of reassurance, showing his missing fang, and his crooked tail resting again behind him. "No one will be mad at you. I promise. I'm Nightcatcher, by the way. What's your name?"

The small she cat shook her head, feeling the warmth of a few stray tears roll down her cheeks. "I-I'm a f-failure..I-I'll never b-become a warrior. I-I don't even l-like my home...s-so m-much pain happened t-there." She said biting her lip trying to stop herself from crying to loudly, or at all really. She hated this feeling. She didn't want it, it was just like her father had told her, she didn't want to be that cat. She didn't want to be a weak chain in the clan. She didn't even hear his step towards her body as she tried to keep herself from falling into pieces.
She gave a small sniffle looking up at him her green eyes darker. "S-Settingpaw..." She said in a hushed voice, though she looked at her paws breaking her eye contact with the tom. "M-my sister...s-she'll be m-mad..s-so w-would my d-dad." She said though in a low voice. She knew Deersong always meant well, even if it hurt at times. Though her father was different, and was like a nightmare, and was a nightmare for her every time she closed her eyes and went to sleep.

Nightcatcher frowned, tilting his head. "What...what do you mean?" he suddenly felt very protective of the young cat, she was very vulnerable, and here he was, a stranger. He could see her trembling, ever so slightly.
Settingpaw. That was her name. He said it quietly, "Settingpaw, don't worry. I'll make sure you don't get in trouble. I'll go talk to your leader myself if I have to, and let her know it's all a misunderstanding. Okay?" he smiled softly.

She small golden tabby shook her head. "N-nothing...i-it's hard to e-explain..i-it's just l-long..." She said, trying to calm herself down in her mind. She didn't want to make FireClan seem weak now. She wasn't even trying to act tough, a warrior would have acted tough. They wouldn't be crying in front of another cat that's not in their clan, would they?! She wanted to pull herself together though her thoughts were growing muddled together by fear of failure.
She shook her head once more. "K-kindlestar w-will understand...b-but my sister..sh-she might get mad...I-I k-know my d-dad always is.." She said though near the end she went soft like a mouse. She didn't want to think about that tom and how he scared her to no end. But she didn't want to drag this cat into trouble, if he went to FireClan, the wrath wouldn't be kind..at least not from her sister.

Nightcatcher hushed her quietly, trying to calm her down. "Hey, don't worry, we'll settle it out. No one will get mad at you, alright? Who--who is your dad?" whoever her father was, he sounded like one scary cat, and Nightcatcher wasn't sure how to deal with that. But StarClan, he was going to try, for Settingpaw. He would stand up to anyone who would hurt such a sweet apprentice.

Slowly she shut her mouth, though her body wanted to cry more she kept it shut up inside of her small body. Meekly she nodded her head, though at the mention of her father her body grew cold and stiff, and her eyes shut tight as she shook her head. "N-no...you wo-wouldn't know him...h-he d-die...be-because..." She said though she shook her head putting a paw over her ear as if to block out the memory of him. "He...he still haunt my dreams...h-he..he was always right.." She said biting her lip to stop it from wanting to shake.

Nightcatcher frowned. Not only was he unsure about confronting her dad, but now an invisible ghost dad? Nightcatcher was out of luck. Maybe if Fallenstar still had that kill-dead-cats thing going on (whatever in StarClan's name that was about!) Then he could help, but alas. The black tom was at a loss.
"Um," was his brilliant response. "Maybe there's something we can do to help? Like uh...maybe we can talk to a medicine cat. Or um, go to the Moon Tree?"

Nightpaw reminds me of a cat I got to meet/cuddle with in Hawaii. His/her name was Stumpy because his/her left forepaw was deformed; it looked like it twisted inwards towards his/her chest at a strange angle. S/he was midnight-black with golden-amber eyes. Despite his/her deformity, s/he was outgoing and loving and surprisingly fast. Just ever-so-slightly slower than the other 32+ cats that prowled around the house we rented.

Redpaw walked into the clearing, eyes weary and tired, two mice hanging from her jaws. Usually hunting with Clearpaw put her in a good mood, but she was exhausted from last night. One of the new apprentices near her nest kicks in their sleep, and tonight they must have been chasing a rabbit. She couldn't sleep a wink! The somali wandered towards the fresh kill pile to drop of her catches, hoping to catch a wink of sleep before training later.
