SnowClan

SnowClan makes it's home on the highest elevation of this island, it's mountainous peaks. On the backside is a sheer cliff which is extremely dangerous and usually avoided. The tops of these peaks collect snow during the winter, but in the summer it's rocky mountainous. Their territory is long and has a lot of climbing involved, and they have a small lake that collects rainwater in the middle of the two peaks.

CAMP: A cave on the east peak not too far from the lake. In the winter it usually has snow that will clog up the entrance, and the warriors and apprentices have a duty to create and maintain an entrance that both allows cats in and seals out the cold. Usually this is accomplished by burrowing a hole through the snow and packing it so it doesn't collapse, and then barring it with a pine tree branch to act as a door.

PREY: hares, ermines, starlings, thrushes, mice, shrews, and even hawks. Bats sometimes roost in their caves and they eat those too.

DANGERS: Slipping and falling from a high place; badgers; frostbite; icicles; hawks

STRENGTHS: Balance, Strength

WEAKNESS: Speed, Jumping.

COATS: All do well; longer furred cats thrive in winter, shorter furred cats in summer. As such, they prepare roles for themselves: Bare-Hunters and Green-Hunters. Bare-Hunters are trained to hunt in snow, keep themselves and others warm, make paths to the lake for water, and clear the camp of their snow-preparations in Summer. Green-Hunters are trained to hunt on rocks, plant and collect herbs, gather moss and hunt for burrowing animals and in caves for bats

RainClan

RainClan makes it's territory in the foothills of the mountains, living around the waterfalls and lake that then branches into two rivers. Their rocky foothills are full of underbrush and trees, though not as much as the forest at the base of the mountain.

They are strong cats have sharp claws and strong back legs for climbing the rocks and wading against river currents. T While they are good at wading in the waters they're not experts at swimming, and accidents can happen in being swept down the river. They are the most agile and acrobatic of the clans, and often can out-maneuver the others. However, they fall short in speed and strength.

PREY: includes waterside creatures such as water voles, water shrews, toads, fish, thrushes and starlings, and occasionally ducks and herons.

COATS: They come in all colors and patterns, though the more neutral-toned cats blend into the rocky river shore and tend to do the best. Depending on how good of swimmers they are, they either excel at fishing or at hunting on the rocks.

MoonClan

MoonClan's forest on the east side of the island is full of densely packed pine trees and mossy forest floors.

They are patient cats who prefer ambush over chasing. Their claws are sharp for climbing and digging and keeping a grip on the mossy floor. They come in all colors and patterns, though darker colored or more heavily patterned cats tend to do best. They are the most stealthy of the Clans, and unless they make themselves known, you won't know they're there.

PREY: mice, thrush, sparrows, squirrels, and all other manner of small forest dwelling creatures.

STRENGTH: Stealth, Climbing, Endurance

SunClan

SunClan lives in the forest on the west side of the island, where the foothills of the mountain peaks turn to rocky hills, and the trees are a bit more sparse. Because the sun is able to hit the forest floor, the grass and such has ben able to grow well, and is a hotspot for prey.

While their forest is sparser, they still have their own woods for hunting and patrolling, but they rely less on them for hunting and shelter than MoonClan cats do. Instead, they have endurance and sharp back claws for chasing down prey, and expert reflexes for leaping from tree branches onto unsuspecting prey. They are the best jumpers in the Clans, and can snatch prey out of the air or from tree branches. They come in all colors and patterns, but those with lighter and more golden or brown tinted fur tend to do best.

FireClan

FireClan lives at the edge of the island cliffs overlooking the beach and sea. There is a canyon path on the way to the beach that they can use. It's a rocky dry area that is full of sagegrass and is rather windy if you get too close to the edge.

Like SunClan, FireClan excels at chasing after prey, though not so much in endurance. They are built for speed, short bursts of energy, and are able to maneuver the rocks at the same time. As such, they are the fastest cats of the clans, but tend to be less sure-footed and stealthy. While they come in all colors and patterns, those that blend in to the canyon walls tend to do best.

CAMP: located inside the canyon walls, hiding them from the burning sun and wind. They're not too far from the pool created by a waterfall, so they always have a fresh supply of water, and a large dead tree marks where they can enter.

PREY: hares and rabbits when available, but mostly prey on nesting birds on the canyon walls, mice, shrews, voles, fish from the pooling waterfalls, lizards, and sometimes snakes.

COATS: Ruddy/Rock colored cats do better; Short Furred, lithe cats thrive

SeaClan

SeaClan lives on the beach at the edge of the huge lake that surrounds their island. Their territory is long and ever-changing with the tide, the dry season giving them more land, and the rainy season giving them more prey. Tide pools gather in the rocky areas of the beach, and are used both for trapping easy prey and training kits and apprentices to swim.

Like RainClan, SeaClan is built for water-related life. However, these cats spend almost more time in the water than on land. They are not only the best swimmers in the clan, but expert divers, and more adept at maneuvering on inconsistent sand. Cats come in all colors and patterns here, but those whose pelts are more solid or less patterned tend to do better.

CAMP: inside a cave on the beach's cliff, sheltering them from the sea winds. They are high enough on the beach that they never have the threat of the waters entering their camp, but just in case, they've lined a ring around it with moss to help soak up any water. Almost like a welcome mat, the cats use this moss bed to dry themselves after a day in the lake.

PREY: mostly fish-based. They dive after fish, sit at the water's edge, or sometimes leap from rocks to get their prey. However, on land, they also eat a rich diet of crabs, salamanders, and clams, and birds that rest on their beach. Water voles and shrews are delicacies. Because of how many clams and crabs they eat, they also have the most dextrous paws of any Clan, and the sharpest teeth.

COATS: All do well, but shorter furred cats fare better with water. Those who cannot swim take on a more beach-dwelling role, and those who can swim have learned to dive and hold their breath underwater.

Surrounding the island is a freshwater lake (NOT A SEA!), and depending on the season has a fluctuating water level. Medicine cats gather on the crescent-moon shaped island off the shore, when the tide is low and a sandy path allows them to access it.

The large boulder in the middle of the island serves as the gathering spot.
