And here's the finished piece! Skyward Sword is definitely one of my favorite Zelda games - though the controls were weird at times, and the world felt a little limited, the overall feel and to see the origins of the LoZ story made it very much worth it. Great game.With the coloring style I wanted to try and emulate the production art of this game through the use of textures, while also trying to keep my own style with it. What a fun piece to do.
Also, Happy 1 Year Anniversary to Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword! Very interesting to find that out, as I finish this picture.

thank you for allowing me to critique a great work of art, i will be as thorough as i possibly can. the overall composition of this peace is really good. the line art is very good and it works real well on the details in the sword, shield and clothing. you definitely have your own style, it shows real well when viewing links face. the use of colors were beautifully used on the character that you did very well to capture the color tones. my only flaw would be the execution to do the chain mail on link. it looks rather scaly. i think it may be a little difficult to draw a chain mail, but it's not much of a big deal. you did a great job on link and i thank you again for allowing me to critique a koo composition, keep up the good work X]

I think you hit the nail on the head when it comes to the chain mail...due to time constraints, I needed to finish this picture and doing the details of chain mail would have pushed the picture back even farther, but now that the deadline's passed, I may go back and make a revision. The best part is the expression. It definitely has strenght in it, also makes him look bit older. Nice work and light texture is nice too but maybe it should be bit toned down in the middle. Otherwise nice work!
