Description I never, ever imagined I would get to photograph the Atlas moth! But thanks to the Tucson Botanical Gardens, which brought in a bunch of tropical butterfies and moths (some of which I show in the next few images), into their tropical greenhouse, I was able to get THIS CLOSE to one! Notice the four eggs below the body of the moth, between the wings. Atticus atlas.

I have more photos where these came from, but this is all the time I have tonight.

I've one of these guys before at the Victoria Butterfly Garden. The Atlas is the biggest in the world

Wow, this is beautiful! This moth looks enormous... the leaves look small next to it! I love the colours, beautiful contrast against the green leaves.
