Description
As has been requested, I'll say it right here; I did not draw this. I will not claim that I did, nor did I make any of the resources visible in the finished piece. I did however make the brushes I used to apply certain effects.Just a little something I made to use as a login BG. Enjoy!
I know it's nothing impressive, but I couldn't think of anything else to add.

If any proof of either the render or stock are needed then I can cite what I know. I did not render Stocking myself, it was already done.

I'm currently in the process of obtaining written permission from the original artist (The one who drew the picture of Stocking before it was rendered) so those who wish for that permission will have it. Please wait patiently as I will.

I don't think so, it doesn't look like anything i've ever seen from the series or in the official art. in fact the art is familiar to someone i've seen before, but i can't really place it.

Thank you for putting that forward, though I'm pretty sure it was rendered with permission, due to the pack I found it in. (The composer of the pack is legit and well-attributed in some circles)

Their sources are cited, so it's not stealing. It's just like any other signature out there.
Unless they took it from an artist, and not some render site.

They would still need actual permission from the original artist, "citation" or not. They didn't even really cite the source properly.
Also, render sites have a lot of various people's fanart all over them and they never really ask permission from the person before cutting characters out and whatnot.

I really don't believe that the Stocking art was "free to use". On a different note, what bothers me most about this is that TheShadowPhantom gets so much credit for someone else's artwork and even stays on the front page for this long. Artist who put a lot of work into their original art do not get this kind of attention. It bothers me.

Both the original stock and the render are free to use, therefore i'm free to make wallpapers from them.

Also, if you got it from a render site are you absolutely sure it wasn't cut from someone else's art? People on those sites sometimes redistribute renders "free to use" without the original artist's permission, so it's a little worrying.

I no longer use Render sites for that reason. I only use renders and stocks that I find in pre-made packs on certain art forums. This particular one I think was found in one from SigResource.
