Description
random sketch. the perspective is off on his head. Was a build up sketch, so I didn't go back and fix. Will probably do some tiddying and fixing, and then try this in oil paintsRelated content

thanks! I'm brand new to oils, but this seems like it would be fun to try in that medium.

Not a problem, dear~
I bet it would be! I'm sure you'd like it.
I love that in art there are so many different
things you can work with. (:
If you don't mind me asking, what usually inspires you? ;v;

That question is always so hard to answer because "inspiration" is made up of so many things! Mostly I've learned that if the thought "that would look cool" enters my head I should try to sketch it out.
Sketches like this are a bit different though. I've been tracing out line art for the past month or so and decided I needed to work on something else. I thought "let's sketch a rat." The I tried to picture what a rat looked like and started sketching. This is nothing like what I had in my head to begin with. That happens a lot.

I see... Thanks!
I have drawn things from my mind
plenty of times, and they end up so
different, it's not even funny. XD
