I think one of them just left rehab, one just left her nightshift job ... 2 are on vacation (wishing they were home).

Well ... actually, it was mid-afternoon. (I always leave my camera set to my home time zone, PST, if you're looking at the EXIF information.)

Nice photo,
that girl looks pissed tho
she has every reason to be, most people hate having their pictures taken--and I relate to it.

Great piece! The woman draws one's attention and is the main focus even though this is just a black and white picture. Didnt even know we could do that without using much colors :l

Some photos really want to be in monochrome.

What I love about this is how even in the black and white, this woman stands out. She's the first thing you look at in the picture. The person to her right *our left* then pulls your eyes off of her and your eyes wander around the picture, giving you this sense of imagination and deep thought.
This is a fantastic picture, masterfully done!
Also I love her hat! o3o

I love that hat, too.
Part of the reason that it's in black and white is that it was much duller and less visually interesting in color. (=
And thank you!

That's actually really cool. Sometimes no color is better than color. Sometimes raw contrast is all you need, where as the colors would make it too busy. This picture is made to be simple, and the black and white drives that in. It's really hard to explain, and it would be tiring to try to, but I really love this picture.
Well actually, the reason I love pictures like these is that they're so simple yet so deep. It leaves them up for interpretation rather than the meaning being obvious. When there is no meaning, there is a thousand meanings in its place. Photos like those are my favorite kind of photos, it takes expert skill and timing to make a scene that makes the mind wander like that! This applies to paintings too! :3

Awesome. It's a shame people don't dress up when they leave the house anymore. This young lady had respect for herself. I like it.

She's in public and can be photographed. I wasn't stalking her, but did take a picture of several people who were right in front of me. If she'd made it perfectly clear that she didn't want to be photographed, she wouldn't have been.

Yes. Might have been helpful to say that she looked pissed off as soon as she got on the train. (=
