This would have to be one of my most enjoyable pics to create! This was fun
Anyways I made this for the upcoming game BioShock 2, it's going to be AWESOME!The idea behind the picture was to make it so your looking through the eyes of the main character, I wanted him struck down and looking up at the Big Sister (new character) ready to fight back, while the Little Sister moves in.
This took longer than I thought but I love taking my time when it's based on games like these..

Bioshock...Ah, how I love this game. And while I can tell that the picture has been lovingly put together and a lot of work was put into it, it doesn't really strike the same feeling you get from Rapture at all. The lightness in it and around the characters doesn't reflect the darkness of Rapture in the games, the way it's possessed by this sense of abandonment, of chaos, of the "civil war." The art style - for me, anyway - reminds me somewhat of Batman, so it doesn't have the ominous feel you get from the games, either. Contrary to one of the other critiques, I felt that the Little Sister wasn't evil enough. She's looks too clean (they usually were dirty and had scratches on their arms) and a little too old to be an actual Little Sister. She ought to have been smaller and without a pouty frown on her lips, because most of them were usually smiling, which is what made them seem so evil in the first place. They were smiling while taking Adam from corpses. I do think that the Big Daddy should have been closer to the Little Sister, perhaps lurking above her, with her in a similar position but with the Big Daddy curved towards her.
Otherwise, it really was well done, just the atmosphere of it and the characters is off. In my opinion, anyway.

Hmm, did you draw this before bioshock 2? I'm not sure if this was your plan or on your mind, that the human main character isn't in bioshock 2. nor is that designe of the big daddy and you're mising the plasmids on the big sister, unless you hid thoughs on the otherside of her arms

This artwork is perfect except for the the fact you forgot Jack's most distinctive feature. His Chain Tattoos. It's fine though because of every other person forgets to add it too.

Amazing job, I love the emotion that flows through the picture. Just one comment though, the lighting is a bit too bright or inviting to me. Maybe a little too yellow, which takes the edge off of the danger imposed by the characters.

Its so wonderful to hear about people enjoying the creative process! I don't know where to begin in ways of actually commenting on the piece, there's so much great stuff going on and its really, really pleasing to the eye. Those Big Sisters are friggin' scary, especially from the angle you illustrated. I only *wish* my brain could come up with composition like this!

I am a massive Bioshock fan but I don't see this from the view of the main character in the second game but from the view of a splicer(the crazy mutated humans). It is a fantastic piece though and what I love is how you managed to capture the eerie, yet beautiful atmosphere of Rapture and it's inhabitants just in one image.
