Description
Facebook page: [link]What an amazing game, I really had fun with it and was excited to do some fan art on the game. One of my favorite features with Infinite is how you can use the Sky-hook to ride these rails through the skylines, it's very addictive, especially in battle. So I wanted to make it a prominent part of this picture, also with his Devils Kiss power in one hand, in my opinion it's the best and most effective power to use
I wanted to try and achieve the vibrant color scheme Bioshock Infinite is known for, it was good to play around with so many colors for a change, and I had to get used to playing around with distance for once too, haven't done that in a while. I hope you all enjoy this piece, and if you haven't yet, go out and give Bioshock a go, it's a bit of a twisted story and makes you wonder a lot but has a good pay off by the end
Enjoy!
-Pat

Really love your detail and character expressions in this picture, and how you did the effect on the Devil's Kiss Vigour.

infinite was fine... until the ending.Β
they thought they were being clever, but sweet jesus were there plot holes abound, and the term "quantum" flung around like it was a universal plot hole filler.
Oh, and burial at sea... while OK, tried to ruin Raptures side of the Bioshock universe for me even more.
Awful... (sighs)
the art though, is great and makes me remember how GOOD infinite was before the ending...

God no, because I'd be writing for hours. It's been commented on via the web a lot, so you can find it that way. If I boil my two main bug bears down to short versions.
1/ Β Once they find the weapon maker dead and step through the tear she opens, as she cannot/does not take them back to the original dimension where they agreed to give the vox guns, the entire motions of the game become pointless at that point. The fact that Liz, despite knowing her powers and having books of quantum mechanics in her tower from the people who created the machine that allowed tears to work in the first place, does not work this out.... GAHHH!!! Stupid, stupid STUPID!
2/ This is in relation to their choice to kill booker before he can become the Phophet "to prevent the quantum dimensions forming at that point. The issue there, is that not only does their decision to kill/not kill ALSO create infinite dimensions (otherwise they cannot decide...) where they do/do not kill booker, you end up in almost a quantum loop where they DO kill him (all potential probabilities prevented from forming), but then as they kill him, the machine is not created as they have no prophet (and potentially columbia too as it was his idea) and so due to this liz's finger does not get cut off (and therefore killing Booker choice does not get its probability reduced to zero, causing the formation of the choices) and on, and on and on. There is a lot of work on this and some people smarter than me have speculated that if THAT happened? The multiuniverse would essentially crash like a PC due to this looping.Β
Aside from that, Β meh, maybe for me it was more personal taste.
They were trying to be deep, and meaningful and it came across as just stupid as fuck.... and they ending up kinda saying "don't try and go your own way, you'll end up being what you are" with Booker and the Prophet. When they revealed that prophet story bite, I was "oh for gods sake..."Β
Then they did Burial.... and let alone Columbia floating in the air (I could "Just" swallow that Ms Lutece could have come up with a field that did what it did, but Columbia finding a superior way for Adam and Eve to be absorbed within the body because they "work" with Rapture and Suchong comments that drinking it is a stupid idea (I agree).Β
Β Rapture and it's dark history and adam/eve I could swallow considering 1950's were on the cusp of computers being created and Rapture being full of essential geniuses with no moral restraints they would come up with Adam.
Columbia... just too much to swallow. Great idea, great world idea... didn't grab me. Then they started trying to blend it and Rapture because gamers were more interested in going back and having more stories ABOUT Rapture (hence the burial DLC.) so they shove Elizabeth into it.... (sighs).Β
(shrugs)

its funny that the second one was somehow close to the explanation my brother gave me xD
Shiz the timeline thing is hard to explain xD
But my brother played the game and he said that the ending was basically 'an unsuccessful attempt' to stop the loop
Idk xD They just made the story very complicated when they involved time and loops

I have the second bioshock game (I personally think the games are kinda boring, that's just my silly opinion) but i always loved the whole concept of Bioshock and the art style. The game is super beautiful just like this artwork
