I had fun with this one, after playing the game I couldn't pass a chance to do a piece on it
And what a great game it is! I strongly recommend getting it.The Legend of Kratos! This guy is a B.A.D.A.S.S. After taking so long on my previous piece (the comic) it's good to finally get back to my usual artworks.. You'll be seeing more like this I think!
I was going to add more enemy's in the background, closing in, but I thought it'd look better keeping it simple and focusing on Kratos..

WoW! Pat Brown, this looks amazing, man. Really looks good. I wish I could buy and play this game, but all I have is a Playstation 2 poor for 3 and a broken 360. I have the first 2 God of War games and they really are pretty fuckin fun. I never really got around to beating the 2nd one. It seemed a bit too hard for me, so I can only imagine how difficult and intense the 3rd one is.
Anyways, I think this looks pretty damn good, man. I'm sure everyone else below agrees that this really does deserve one of this 'Critiques'.
I'd honesty give you one for this one and a few of your other pieces I really dig, But I don't have the Premium Membership, so the best I can do is collect this awesome art and leave you this Soda pop to reward your great skills in this great piece ->
Sorry it's nowhere nearly as good as the Critique you've requested, but I hope it gets my point across. Really dig you work, Pat. Keep it coming cuz it truely is golden in our eyes.

my god, this is teriffic!, i have all 3 god of war games, the 2nd one has a glitch that i cant get past though ¬¬, its my favourite game series!, next to bioshock, grand theft auto and manhunt

Great mood and clean lines. My only 2 critiques are that his knee (Left one, facing the viewer) look slike it's made out of stone or rock, not because of the coloring but the sharp and irregular edges and angles on the linework. Secondly are his trapezius muscles; the left one looks fine, but the right one (His right) looks too short and not as voluminous. It might be too late now to fix those things, and they really don't hurt the image, I had to look hard to notice it. In the future, flipping your canvas horizontally in photoshop when you are still working on the lineart (If you don't already do this). It helps you notice all these little things you would normally never notice otherwise.

Hey, I have been meaning to comment for awhile...this isn't long enough to qualify as a critique, but I just wanted to say a few things...first, your compositions are amazing! Dynamic angles, good perspective, and interesting looks can be used to describe all your pieces.
My advice would be this...your character designs have become so stylized that in some cases they no longer resemble your model. The Dexter piece comes to mind. I love your look, overall, but your faces tend to look fairly generic.
Just my thoughts, take it as you will, but keep up the amazing work, and I'll keep looking at them in envy!
