This is a tattoo I designed for my friend Natalia, it will be tattooed on her upper side..I really enjoyed designing this, it actually symbolizes a few things.. If you look carefully the lacy curves look a bit like a 'treble clef' (music note).. This is because the words 'A Fire Inside' is actually the title of a song..
And the Phoenix is used to symbolize the song.. I mean what better to use than a Phoenix, THEY'RE AWESOME!!!
As you can see the pose is like an eagle swooping down with it's feet stretching out for the kill.. While it's long tail flicks back in the wind.. I really wanted to put alot of motion in this, and I thought this pose would look best wrapping around the side of the rib area..
Anyways the idea was all Tale's, I just used my imagination
I hope you like it, I would really appreciate a critique on this, It's going to be permanent so I'd like this to be 100%

Wow that is good to know, glad you liked it so much. The girl I did it for, a friend of mine, had it in the same area coincidentally. Unfortunately she died last year in a car crash, some asshole was driving on the wrong side of the road and collided with her. Β

I can tell you this resonates on a personal level for me and it is beyond lovely. It is very symbolic while being simple as well. There is no question what kind of bird this is which is difficult sometimes with a phoenix. A job well done, I'm sure your friend will (or does) love it.

I know this seems to be a rather stupid question, but I've looked at your replies to the other comments and you have never seemed to answer the question of being allowed to use this tattoo or parts of this tattoo for our personal use. I'm sorry if I missed your response. I can message you privately if you wish, or just stop bothering you... lol.

actually I want a tattoo in the rib area and I wanted to be a phoenix so I searched for designs. This is perfect. I think I choose this one for my tattoo. Is simple but so complicated in the same time. It really is a marvelous design.

Just like tinawinsatlife- I too created an account just to comment on this. So... would you be totally mad if I got this tattooed? Well it is a little late... I had looked high and low for a phoenix tattoo or design. I didn't want anything realistic or cartoon-y. I didn't want some firebird. I wanted something that was beautiful, simple and yet elegant. This is something that has a meaning for me and I wanted it to be portrayed in such a manner. And then I found this. It was all those things and more. I didn't use the words- I will add my own to it later. But in my life I killed my former self and had a rebirth- I started my life all over again and did what makes me happy for the first time instead of always worrying about everyone else. This phoenix now represents and serves as a reminder of where I came from and to stay true to myself. Sorry I took the tattoo and used it, but I knew it was perfect when I saw it. So thanks for posting this on here so that I could finally lay my search to rest.

Hmm. It was made in 2009, which mean your friend already probably has it. However: I WILL say that it's awe inspiring. The curves make it seem like flames are growing out of it, and it DOES show signs of a musical note.
In simple terms: Beautiful.
