Ah here's my latest piece.. Finally!!!One of the coolest games I've played in a long time.. inFAMOUS has such a great storyline (the ending KICKS-ASS
) and the gameplay is just too good!So I couldn't help myself but to make a pic for it.. This has taken me a while to do, mainly because I've been flatout with a special commish at the moment.. It's been way to long since I've drawn something for myself, so this really helped keep the motivation and passion going!
This has really been a learning curve for me, electricity is SO COOL TO DRAW!!! Plus I've been loving perspective..
Please let me know what you think! Maybe a little critique

love it. the lightning gives off a real impact of power. the dead reaper being electrocuted is a very nice touch. the lightning is very well drawn, I've tried to draw it, and it is hard. the other reapers seem a tad bit tacked on. the flow of the picture's is kind of...stopped by the 2 reapers in the background. especially the reaper right behind Cole. but I love that you used lightning to kind of frame the reaper aiming at you. the anatomy is amazing. Cole looks like he could be real. his pose is amazing. great design.

As you've probably noticed by my stargiving to the right i downright love this piece. Why? Simply put it's a beautiful realisation of a character with all his significant features and attributes in place set in an awesome environment. The depiction of the main character is colourful and lively though still keeping with the overall colours of the game. With the added style of patrickbrown this character really seems to stand out but still manages to be true to the one seen in the game.
I am really not in a position to complain as i am unable to see any flaws or ways this could have been done better. So why not give this awesome inFamous fanart some love?

I'll start with the main complaint on this otherwise cool piece. While Cole is planted well into the scene the hooded guys seem a lot more floaty, like they were just plopped into the scene (mainly the guy on the left of the picture) Otherwise you have a lot of great detail and lighting going on in the background. Also the anatomy for the downward perspective is great. I've only tried lighting once before and just like most of the other elements out there it can be a pain to try and draw. I think the way you did it really compliments your style.
It would be cool to try and do some quick tweaks to make an evil version.

Amazing work as always Pat! I waited at least ten minutes for this beast to load (damn throttled internet connection) but I think it was definitely worth it.
I agree, the electricity effects looks awesome! Extremely realistic, in a cartoony fashion, I love it! Also agreeing with you on the perspective, it's very nice as well.
The lighting of this piece is very good as well. It blends seamlessly in with the textures, pretty much making a vivid, accurate deception of the game. Sucker Punch has made it clear that Cole died in New Marais. Second Son was *technically* inFAMOUS 3, anyways.

Well, Second Son did have a ton of references to Cole, and Zeke's even listed in the credits, but I haven't met him in-game yet. In a way, he did come back, just not as a character.

Hah. Awesome. Cole in this pic is really how I act towards those frigging Reapers now. I feel bad saying this, but I don't mind killing them too much now. They killed me a lot of times and I finally got fed up. I feel like I should get bad karma because of that. The way I've played so far though, Cole still has blue energy.
Anyway whatever. Cole looks really hardcore...and he is. It's neat the way he does parkour like he's strolling to the corner store. The way you drew this is really good and stylized like comics.
I remember learning to draw buildings in art class. I never got into it; it was too hard for me and I wasn't dedicated enough to keep practicing. But you drew these buildings really well. The sunset and electricity are my favorite parts of this picture.

This is a very nice piece, with Cole in a similar pose to that on the cover of the game. I think that due to what he looks like here, the lightning should be red; he's making a menacing face, standing over a dead Reaper, and his clothes are paler.

Actually, I think that the paler look on Cole works really well with the blue lightning. It gives him a saint-ish look, a protector of the innocent.

I love how even though he killed a reaper there's another one ready to shoot since, after all, there's ALWAYS another reaper.
