The newest Firefox is a version of 3.6 or so. If you're talking about Firefox 4, that's not the official newest because they're not forcing everyone to have it. I have Firefox 4 though, and I think it's fine, it's just a bit different, and you can change it back to the old way if you want to, by going into options and checking "menu bar" and it'll give you the old menu bar back.
