I guess as a sequal to my Alien drawing;I thought it was about time I got around to drawing his arch enemy 'Predator'
I have to admit when starting this I thought it would be 'Fun' - how wrong could I be!!! The amount of detail, differant textures, surfaces and elements mixed with an enormous amount of blackout led to making this one of the longest drawings I have tackled - also one of the most frustrating! 4 hours on just drawing black is not my idea of fun!!
Anyway, happy with the result - hope you like it too

Traditional and Mechanical pencils - 4H, HB, 4B and 8B

You can start off thinking it is quite a simple subject to draw, but the detail is incredible - it is in fact a very complex piece with a large variety of textures, materials and finishes. Glad you liked it

Yes (I am told by my teenage son) the reference picture is from the AVP game - I just thought it was a great picture of Predator, and one I hadn't seen done before?

With pencil! Just a normal 8B Graphite pencil, it took about 4 hours, I know I could have used an ink pen or marker pen, but I couldn't bring myself to use anything other than a pencil!!
