Lovely! This reminds me of reading the first book of the Narnia series as a child. "The Magician's Nephew"

What a wonderful Burst of nostalgia thank you!

This is something that everyone should really incorporate into their characters, giving a scene where u can really see their lives, people nowadays just draw portraits of characters inwhich Was interesting enough to see in a world they can be, but have chosen not to. You on the other hand gave a very rich expression of his interaction to something Unique. I too have seen that characters you make can have the opportunity to go beyond to what they can do rather than being shown upright without any activity at all, thats why I am now also incorporating sceneries to characters to give their expression up by a tenfold. Kudos to you and I hope u would continue this

Hello, I'm from !
First of all, what really caught my attention was the dynamic swirl of the small figures and the expression of the boy. I could feel the magic filling his room, brightening up the whole picture. The details in the background are subtle but tells many thing about this kid. You clearly loved doing this piece which enhances the overall quality tremendously. You chose a really hard perspective, however, you nailed it! I can sense the environment in 3D, so to say.
All in all, I have only a few suggestions to make. People before me told you a few things, so I'd like to focus on other advices. The boy's skin looks a bit clay-like, which is a common mistake by artists (yeah, by me too). There are many tutorials on youtube, and this one: youtu.be/3pG6Z-Y4xaE colors it in Clip Studio, which I think you use. It's a simple but really helpful tutorial. Another thing is the lighting. You're doing great, but be braver! Don't be afraid to use darker colors or to highlight some parts. You can play with the materials, make metal and glass reflect the magical lights for example. The sparkling orb could also emit some light, but then again I don't really know what is it and how it works so I might be wrong. It seems important, so it's not a problem to bring our attention to it. The boy is also looking at it, so making it the focus point was the right thing to do. I hope I helped you somehow. Your gallery shows enormous development and great skills, and this piece is clearly one of your best. It's a beautiful, emotional piece, be proud of it!
Keep on drawing, keep on learning, you're on the right track!

As soon as you see this you can feel the emotion! The way the boy's face looks, the soft lighting, and the pastel fairies evoke a kind of whimsical and sweet feeling. I do agree with Mai, the BG is a little dull in color, and the ball of light is distracting, but the overall tone of the image is nicely captured. The realism is also very refreshing! I like the small details you've added as well, you can see that he's maybe a witch or practices magic. I think if you added some warm light to the skin, it'd brighten up his face and make him look a little more pleased. For some tech stuff, save your image as a PNG, as it's a lossless format made for web, it'll keep your colors bright but will make the file bigger. I think you'd also really benefit if you used google sketchup, it helps a lot with clutter/perspective/structures. I hope we get to see more work from you!

This is amazing! I love the little pink people dancing out of the book, and the childs face full of wonder. I think the colours are bit dull and couldve been a tad bit brighter but then again it contrast from the magic coming out of the book. Also i dont really understand why there is a spotlight with sparkle fx what is it that my eyes are being brought attention to? needs to be more clear. But overall i really like the details and realism of the image! the fact that there is a background is already far better than what i could produce. The perspective and angle is a little off but not noticeably so i think you did a really great job at that. The background really conveys the narrative that without imagination life is boring and dull. The quality of your image is a little bit grainy possibly when you converted it to a jpg you didn't select the best quality? so yeah i think you went a bit ham with the sparkle fx but overall a really pleasant image with a few tweaks could be even better. Hope this comment helped somewhat.
