It's always been very clear to me that this version of the Monster only ever really wanted a hug. Yes he was on a murderous rampage, but look at that bath mat he's wearing. It's furry and snuggly. If that's not a cry for a hug, I don't know what is.
Seriously though, I'm pleased that you not only chose Son of Frankenstein, but that you were careful to differentiate it from other movies. Basically, compare to people who just say "Universal Frankenstein." While there's nothing inherently wrong with that, selecting a specific movie shows that extra bit of attention to the source material that aficionados like myself crave.
I'll admit grading this piece is a little challenging for me, as is looks like a colored photo or movie poster or something. The problem with a faithful recreation is what can you call originality?
The colors work very well. Brown, green and red are something of a classic trio and the shades you picked do have a nice retro feel. Not sure how I feel about making Frankenstein green, but I'm prejudiced because I hate the colorized Night of the Living Dead.
The technique is spot on, professional level and the overall effectiveness of the picture is very high.
