Tried new things with this one. learned a whole lot in terms of coloring approach and poses.
Had random pokemon flashbacks paintin gthis one. I remember getting lost in rock tunnel, buying a Magikarp at a pokemon Center near Mt. Moon. hahaha\
You know you had a good childhood when you remember crying over two Pikachu(s) slapping each other.

you cried too in that scene? i'm glad i'm wasn't the only one, that scene was amazing.
actually i was already an adult when i saw it, but pokemon let me spend time with each of my kids as they went through their pokemon phase.
you're artwork is impressive. not exactly what Ash looks like, but still it's a jolly good bit of work!

Thank you soo much. I wanted to paint ash in a more detailed style. What i would love to change in this artwork is getting more of his character and attitude into the piece, but i feel like I've already spent more time than i should on this one and I'm just going to have to keep it as a reminder for my next pieces.

to get more of ash's character you'd have to make him look more enthusiastic. open his mouth, widen his eyes, rise his eyebrows. and pikachu needs to have a matching expression as if sharing his emotions.
