Nice man.
...A thought just accursed to me. Not like I'm trying to be critical or nagging or anything, but anime depicts a lot of cyborg female characters with their boobs out and crotch in thongs. Shouldn't those areas in particular be extra protected. Looking hot is fine and all, but nothing ruins a day faster than getting your boobs power slammed or getting a plasma javelin to the crotch.

Well shield generators are an easy way to dispel the outfit's inefficiencies, haha!
But in all seriousness, such characters just aren't designed with practicality in mind. It's easy to make a character with more practical armor and such, but it just doesn't have the same charm. IF a character is designed this way, you have to consider that the creator wasn't trying to make a practical design in the first place.
