Species: Mammalian dragon [Mammalia draco]

Age: 3 years

Height/Weight: 59" at the shoulder (4ft/14.3hh) / 450kg (992lbs)

Physical Features: Alan is short and built similarly to a pointing dog; large chest cavity, slight belly, short tail, and longish legs. Skin is similar to a killer whale's: The outer layer continually and rapidly renews itself, and the old skin sloughs off. His snout is long ending in a noticeably rounded muzzle, and his horns are large compared to the size of his head; his skull is taller to compensate for it (his forehead is bigger). Teeth are flat in the front to tear off grass and leaves from trees; his canines are medium-sized and his teeth from there on transition from carnivorous to molars in the back, allowing him to partake in an omnivorous diet. His neck is of medium length and has four navy markings on it, contrasted in thin by a white stripe. There are three webbed spikes on the back of his neck starting at the base of his skull. Four similar webbed spikes are on his lower back running to the last third of his tail. On the underside of his tailtip there are three more. His belly is pale. Legs have 'shinguard' markings on them.

Vocalizations: Sounds like Benjamin Salisbury (Brighton Sheffield in The Nanny). Listen HERE. Capable of speaking English. Also capable of a range of dog-like vocalizations.

Habitat: Preferably temperate. Not suited for extreme hot or cold temperatures.

Diet: Small rodents, birds, fruits, berries, grasses.

Reproduction: Mammalian, not reptilian reproductive characteristics. Sheath and genitalia similar to that of horses. When he's 'excited' he acts as a stallion would.

Friendships: Wonderbird & Kaus

Personality: Alan is sweet, loyal, and shy. He's a funny, silly guy once you get to know him, but he often finds himself at a loss when it comes to making friends or meeting someone new. He runs into problems trying to talk to somebody that he doesn't know and tries to avoid it as much as he can. He would not consider himself a rule breaker and does not like to take major risks. He often relies on Wonderbird to make introductions for him and break the ice. Alan is quick to anger but slow to act on it physically. He would rather stay out of any drama whatsoever than try to be a mediator or a compromiser.
