tch, did you make the black parts of her hair completely with ink? I'm just wondering cuz I can't fathom how you get those tiny, fine highlights in it.

I did all the strands and hair shapes in the inking phase, then laid an overall color in all the strands of the hair. Then, I was able to select just the hair color and draw within the hair color, adding highlights and shades. The highlights in the black areas of the hair were just "white inking" on a solid black area.
Hooray for Photoshop, it does all the stupid work for me!
