Description
This year's version of my "Science Builds The Future" poster, which has been a hit with science educators and academics working to get young girls interested in the STEM science curriculums. I'm proud to promote the efforts of encouraging a rich, diverse and non-discriminatory/gender-balanced scientific community.
This poster is ©Paul Sizer/Sizer Design + Illustration, and may not be used without permission. Thank you for respecting this.

Good grief, man! You just get better! I've only just discovered your gallery (hence the flurry of posts), and every click reveals another treasure.

"[...] now i'm become death the destroyer of worlds" said Oppenheimer about the trinity nuclear test, citing the sacred Hindu scriptures.
i have no idea if this girl is African-American or from india, but the hands position remember me the kalì's sculptures (the divinity of the quote)... is this done on purpose or coincidence?
anyway... a wonderful work! it conveys a feeling of power!
sorry my english, I hope I was understandable

Very understandable, thank you for the nice words. ; )
I didn't intentionally position her hands to reflect Kali, more to direct the viewers attention to her core, to show the love of science coming from deep within her, which also nicely reflects the Kali pose. I had not thought of that.
I drew her to be of African descent, but she does have an Indian feel as well. I like to try and make my characters feel pan-cultural in looks.
Glad you like it!

I find it funny she has the same look on her ID - like she made the same pose at the photographer's when he shot her picture I don't know if it's like that where you live, but the photos for documents, especially for IDs have to be uniform, the same half-profile head position, no head gear, no hair covering eyes or face, etc., so... I'm not sure if they'd accept such a photo for an ID (though at least she doesn't obscure her face, except a little by looking down).
I love the font of "science". Also the strip with the black stripes as contours looks good.
The colour scheme reminds me of something and I'm not sure what it is exactly. I have a feeling it has a cool Fallout game series feel about a nuclear apocalypse where time stopped in the 50ties (as reflected by the poster art in the game). Of course, I love the game series and find the similarity cool.
The poster has a nice composition and symmetry to it.
Hard to find anything to nitpick here - maybe that the right palm bottom looks kind of swollen?
Finally, I support the cause and support that you support it.
Best wishes.

Thank you very much for the detailed crit on this! Agreed; her right palm is off a bit, and the arm is a bit bendy looking with the sleeve position not helping out that illusion.
And yeah, I like the joke of her ID badge being the exact same shot as she has in the picture. That's kind of a running gag for me.

You're welcome. Glad I could help.
Oh, if the ID thing is intentional, then it's OK

Really nice poster! And we could always use more diversity among scientists.

True that. I've been contacted by many high school science teachers who get these posters to encourage girls to get into the sciences. Glad these help.
