Description
Well, I could not resist, seeing all the incredible artwork coming in so far, so I decided to generate a submission to THE PEPPER PROJECT, which you can find out more about here:[link]
Back to my design roots, I wanted to play with one of my faves; Old Russian Constructivist poster type. I needed a mental break from some other projects, so I decided to crank the iPod, and just color my brains out. Will it make it into the final book? Who knows? I like the end result, and if it goes farther than this, then it's gravy.

Yeah, so why don't I do this much work on my OWN stuff? Because I'm an IDIOT, that's why!

I think there is always some freedom when you draw another persons character. Remember that LWM piece I did. People still tell me how much they like that piece. Maybe we are too precious with our own characters...or maybe just lazy..hehehe

Yup, I would agree; it does seem like I can approach something with a fresher eye in that manner. When you're doing your own characters over and over, I sometimes tend to get a little sloppy with familiarity.
Or I'm just a lazy ass. Either way works for me

I know I got that way towards the end of Deity. Between all the issues and the con sketches I'd drawn those characters so many times that they became almost caricatures of the original idea...I did about four issues too many..I should have quit while I was ahead.
Or I'm a lazy ass..hehehe

Very nice, I like the lighting
And the designs in the background are neat~
I've been considering trying one of these too but I haven't got an idea that just went quite yet.

It's amazing, but there is some seriously good work there; they are getting submissions from some world class illustrative talent. I don't think I stand a chance seeing some of the other work, but then again...
