OK OK, I'm late to the game, but I just discovered THE VENTURE BROS. a month or two ago, and I LOVE THEM! Seriously, these are some of the best written cartoons going right now. I can't wait for Season 3 this summer.GO TEAM VENTURE!

My brother bought me season 1. I started watching it late one night when my wife was already in bed and thought "...what the hell???..." Then I watched them again with my wife and laughed my butt off!
The Austin Powers/ MAD comics type of inuendo and farce was excellent, season 2 was a slam dunk for us.
Definitely "Go Team Venture"!

I didn't like the Venture Bros. at first, but they grew on me. (I think I needed to mature a little bit emotionally before I really 'got' it.) Brock Samson and Doc Orpheus are my favorites.

I agree that the second season ROCKED but the first season didn't do anything for me. I personally prefer all the bad guys, particularly The Monarch, Dr. Girlfriend and Phantom Limb. But you made them so cute! Hank and Dean look so goofy!

The first season was still getting its feet under it, but I feel it was still stronger then than most shows after a few years. It just seems like it's a labor of love for these guys. And yes, like all great stories, the villains are the more interesting people.

My verdict is still out on Venture Bros. The few that I've seen are "take it or leave it" for me. Your mileage may vary.

The second series is the more tightly written and consistent of the two, but I recommend checking them all out. Of all the ADULT SWIM cartoons, it's the one that doesn't require you to be high to find it funny (like Aqua Teen Hunger Force). The pop culture references are thick, but they extend back well into the 60's , so there's nuggets for everyone.
