Tales From The Crypt holds a place in my heart as one of the first horror movies that I saw in the theater, I think I was 7 when this came out, this particular tale told of poor Arthur Grimsdyke who made toys for the children of the town, the adults didn't like him so they bullied him til he committed suicide, then he came back from the dead to seek revenge, great old film!Related content

I had to watch it just because Peter Cushing was in it. He's one of the best actors around and have a great performance in this piece. I felt sorry for him

This is without a doubt my favorite story in that film. Cushing was simply fabulous in a very understated, but heartwrenching and sympathetic role. My favorite part is when the one dog that slipped away from the animal control people comes home. Despite knowing Grimsdyke is doomed (and not liking dogs much), I always get misty-eyed when his dog returns to him. It offers a brief respite from his misery, and I liked that we see that the little pooch is adopted by the kids, who still liked Grimsdyke despite the smear campaign against him.
Grimsdyke was basically the sweetest and kindest old man in the universe, and that turtleneck-wearing douchebag across the street couldn't abide his mere existence. The payoff at the end is the most delicious revenge ever.
