Perfect DOF. I love that you can see the red areas of his wings like the shoulder pads of a big ol' football player. There is personality in this photo, as well as great composition with him being off-center but clearly the focus of the photo.
I'd love to be able to take bird pictures but I don't have anywhere near the skill set you have plus telephoto lenses for Canons are few and far between and those that are available are expensive as f-ck. lol
Anyway, I love your work. You are a great photographer.
