Understand. All you gotta do is Select the stroke that you want to make pointy. Once you have selected it, go to "Path > Outline Stroke". Now, under the "Pen Tool" is a tool with a line and a +, select it and start deleting all the anchor points except the one that is on the point. Adjust it and you will have your pointy line.
