I REALLY like how MLP is inclusive to all walks of life, including the disabled! In another entry, I suggested his harness might be a transforming 'fan-pack' for him, but at the very least, the weight of his harness could be magically 'neutralized' so as to not present an issue when flying.

He was, you see, He's the OC of a kid who has some spinal cord disease or injury, well lomg story short, he can't use his legs. The Make a Wish foundain came to him and he wished for his OC to be on the show.

Remember the day the episode came out. Alot of discussion, if kids should be exposed to these things. Totally nonsensical that discussion. I like that the show writers say that these kind of ponies also exist.
