Final image looks good, but the original draft had more interesting composition. Final stage seems too detailed, while the draft had more emphasis on the drama (light was stronger). Draft scene happens "here and now" and the Final one seems to happen just somewhere else.
Don't get me wrong, I would still like it, but if you're showing the process, then I felt you somehow want the feedback.

I know what you're saying. There is something beautiful about the detail in the final version and I'm sure it allows the story to be fully told, but the first version had more drama -- I think as you say it centres on the strong lines of the light/shadow in the first, particularly the shadow of the wings which was very striking -- almost Christ-like. That wing shadow seems weaker in the final version and the line of the wings is less striking.
BUT it is still very good.
