Description
Ta-metru is the metallurgical district of the city. Here the ta-matorans smelt metal protodermis, create masks and details, from which the technique is assembled in Po-metru and Le-metru. The unusual "hotness" of this place is due to the so-called hot wells, from which flames periodically erupt, they are also the main sources of heat for obtaining molten protodermis. The hottest place and the largest building is the Great Foundry, where because of the heat even ta-matorans do not look.

One of the reasons for the existence of hot wells may be the structure of Metru Nui, which was also part of the processor of Mata Nui's robot body. The Ta-metu could well serve to release excess heat from the processor, just as the Co-metru could serve as a place for hardware where a lower temperature is needed
